Patisse High Tea @ Sky Lounge

Geoff and I joined Mum and Dad to escape the Christmas bustle and enjoy some treats at Patisse's High Tea Pop-up in the Sky Lounge of Centrepoint Tower. The first thing we saw when we arrived were these gorgeous gingerbread houses with the cutest French Snowman carrying a baguette. I love the simplicity of these houses with their snow covered roof tops dripping in icicles. A simple edging of macaroon tiles completes the no-fuss modern look.

The savoury plates featured Turkey sandwiches done in the style of a classic chicken sandwich with proper chunks of turkey meat instead of that deli-style sliced stuff you usually get. There were also ham and shallot tartlets and foie gras on toasted brioche with cornichon pickles.

For the sweets we enjoyed Vincent's gingerbread snowflakes with crystallised ginger centres, snowball christmas puddings, a passionfruit, cherry Bûche Noël and cherry brioche tropezienne cakes.  All very delicious and perfect for getting into the Christmas Spirit of indulgent eating.
