It's nice to get away for a little while and the opportunity to visit and stay with my husband's sister who is working in Singapore was our chance to enjoy a nice family adventure.

We then met up for lunch with one of my husbands former bosses and now a friend to enjoy a Penang style buffet. In the evening we were able to enjoy a night out on the town together whilst Aiden hung out with his Aunt.

Our first stop was to Raffles Long Bar to enjoy the traditional Singapore Sling which was nice but we loved the original 1915 Gin Sling even better! The peanut strewn floor was a shock at first but we soon got into the spirit of the place chowing do…

We spent our final day in Singapore catching up on a little more shopping before heading back home on the night flight. Overall we didn't try to do too much as we were travelling with our two and half year old son and it was also meant to be a time to catch up with family and relax. The trip went well and the flights were better than expected as Aiden was quite happily settled.
