I wanted to design a Christmas Card that was uniquely Australian. I chose the gum blossom to feature as they are reminiscent of classic Christmas colours and the form of the flowers seem to me like the twinkling fairy lights and stars of Christmas Day or fireworks on New Years Eve. Diversity and inclusion are important to me so I also wanted to create a card design that wasn’t specifically religious and could be used by anyone wanting to share a message of love over the holiday period.
